Who We Are

Greetings,

We are a group of local Girl Scouts planning a study trip to Europe in June 2011. Our ten day itinerary includes London, Paris, Florence and Rome. As of today, 14 girls and 5 Parent/Leaders are registered for this trip. The total cost of the trip is $57,100. This includes air fare, hotel, breakfast, dinner, ground transportation, entrance fess and a full time Education First Tour (EF Tours) director.

We have been diligently fundraising since last June and have earned $4,000 towards the cost of this trip. In addition to Flamingo Flocking, we have hosted concession booths at:  Airport Appreciation Day; Sundays in the Park; Moonlight Movie Madness; All American 4th of July Picnic in the Park; Fabulous Flashback Car Show; and A Small Town Christmas.  We also hosted a Holiday Craft Faire at the Ukiah Veteran’s Hall.

We are currently focusing our fundraising efforts on a Corned Beef & Cabbage dinner on March 13th at the Ukiah Veteran’s Hall, and a Fashion Show with High Tea in the spring (location to be determined).  During these major fundraising events we will continue Flamingo Flocking and concessions booths when opportunities arise.  The girls, and parents/leaders, have been working very hard to make this trip happen.

We are in urgent need of dry goods for events, prizes for raffles, gift cards, advertising, volunteers for grunt work, and of course money.  No gift or donation is too small.

Please call the Ukiah Girl Scouts to Europe Committee at (707) 206-6547 to arrange for pick-up of dry goods donations, or make checks payable to:
