Camping in Fairfax May 2009

The night before the big Bridging event, troops10417 & 10335 camped overnight at the Steinau House in Camp Arequipa, Fairfax, CA. Fun was had by all singing songs and cooking (or burning!!) marshmallows over the fire. When it was time to go to sleep, Sandi sounded the “Be quiet and go to sleep” alarm…and a hush fell over the crowd!! Fresh fruit smoothies and bagels were feasted upon for breakfast, and then it was off to the Golden Gate Bridge for the festivities.




Murder Mystery Dinner 2009
Cadette Troops 10120 and 10417 attended a Murder Mystery Dinner in Lakeport. The theme was Miss. Teen beauty pageant. Everyone was sent a persona ahead of time to learn and it provided choices of clothing. All the girls were dressed to the nines! They all looked so pretty. Before, during and after dinner introductions were made by the MC. Then just as those concluded one of the pageant contestants was murdered! It was up to the girls to figure out who the villain was. It was quite a exciting night.





Troop 10417
On Saturday January 17th, 2009 Girl Scout troop gathered at Sandi’s house to complete the final assignment for their From Fitness to Fashion IPA. Maegan’s Grandma Mary Hunt a Mary Kay consultant from the Sacramento area came to teach the girls around skin care. As an added bonus the girls also got to try their hands at applying cosmetics properly. The girls also asked questions about Mary Kay (the company) and what it was like to be a consultant.
